Capital Private Psychological Services is an established and growing private mental health counseling practice in Columbus, Ohio. We are looking for an open-hearted, intelligent therapist to support clients while positively contributing to the culture and growth of the practice. This clinician must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.

This is a 1099 Contractor position and does not offer benefits. However, Capital Private Psychological Services has contracted low premiums as a group for clinicians and staff who want to purchase benefits. The benefits available for this position are:

This position involves a great deal of independent work and decision-making, so people who are skilled at utilizing their professional knowledge and available resources to meet the needs of their clients is essential to this position. Our therapists are responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating, managing, and implementing treatment plans to help clients address their presenting concerns
- Assessing clients' current condition, needs, strengths, and weaknesses
- Addressing each client as an individual and setting tailored, measurable goals
- Implementing a variety of theories and practices with clients
- Monitoring and evaluating clients' progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly
- Staying educated on the most current evidence-based practices
- Maintaining accurate records
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A Master's or Doctorate-Level degree is required
- An active license in Psychology, Marital and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Professional Counseling
- A working knowledge of theories and practices
- An ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
- An ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups
- A resiliency along with an ability to assess situations
